On Sunday I visited the annual Retro Rides Gathering at the historic Shelsley Walsh hill climb venue for the first. It was an amazing event and I’ll be sure to post my photos up shortly but, in the meantime, here is my video footage of some of the hill climb action.
The demand for HM-Sports E36 Coupe & Saloon Roof Spoilers is so high that we often struggle to keep enough stock on the shelves. However, we’ve just had a big restock of both roof spoiler types and now both are available for immediate dispatch! Worldwide shipping is available and you can buy yours from the STL! shop here.
The Wednesday before any STL! event at Driftland kicks off is always an interesting day. Due to the long distances most drivers and their friends are having to travel, arriving in plenty of time ensures lots of spare hours for hanging out and checking out cars. One of the first such drivers to arrive at STL!3 was Lewis Noakes with his F20C-powered AE86, which I quickly snapped a few photos of before getting back to event setup duties.
In between everything else at Driftland last week I managed to sneak out on track and put in a few sessions myself in my C33. I hastily chucked a few GoPros on the car to capture some footage of me driving my own car properly for the first time in nine months or so (I’m not including my two whole laps at Three Sisters the other week in that statement!). Apologies for the angles and sound being far from perfect; next time I’ll take more time to set the cameras up properly. Check out the full video below.
Next week we take over Driftland for two days of hectic open pit lane drifting. All driver spots are invite-only and are accounted for but spectators are of course welcome. Drifting runs 11am-6pm, June 21st-22nd. STL! merch will also be available at the event.
