I really don’t know what to write about this meet, but all I can say is…wow. I turned up ten minutes after the start time and the car park was already full to the brim with the finest Japanese metal around.
It took quite a while to get used to seeing so many rare and exotic cars in a shopping centre car park as opposed to a full on show at a race track but this is just a credit to the organisers and the various forums/owners clubs that amassed as many people as possible.
Unfortunately the size of such a meet in a public place inevitably caught the attention of the authorities, who brought three Police vans and a helicopter to keep an eye on the situation. Members of staff from the surrounding shops had to direct regular traffic into other car parks to avoid the meet as it started spilling out into some of the other surrounding car parks…it was all a bit surreal! Overall it was a fantastic afternoon out and a great relief to only have to drive for 15 minutes to see so many amazing cars in one place.
I’ll leave you with some of the photos I took today, I’ll post some more up shortly!
